Language and food are the core of our everyday lives. They are how we share love and create connection, especially with our families.

Our son has a complicated neurogenetic disorder resulting in apraxia, as well as speech and feeding problems. When our son started therapy he was 16 months old, still mostly relying on pureed foods. Now he can eat anything and his muscles are getting stronger. Despite his initial resistance to therapy, Erica worked her way to his heart. She is very professional, patient, but also fun. She is not only a great therapist, but also a very warm, compassionate person.

When other therapists told me my son’s picky eating was due to a sensory disorder, I looked elsewhere and luckily, found Erica. She immediately noticed that my son’s inability to eat challenging foods was due to his weak muscles. Within weeks, my son was eating various meats and vegetables with enthusiasm… Any child who has the opportunity to work with Erica is incredibly lucky.

ABOUT ERICA

Erica Goss-Goldstein has been providing speech, language and feeding therapy to children for over 25 years. She is currently in private practice in Westchester NY where she provides both therapeutic and diagnostic services for children with speech, language and feeding delays and disorders. Erica works to provide each of her clients with personalized services to improve their communication skills, feeding skills and overall quality of life.
